Hack for Humanity: Colombo is a one-day, in-person hackathon run by The AI Collective's Colombo Chapter with the CSSL Gen Z Chapter of UCSC. Teams identify a challenge affecting people or communities in Sri Lanka and develop a practical AI-enabled solution concept or prototype. The programme includes a challenge briefing, team building, mentor guidance, a six-hour build session, project demonstrations, judging and recognition. It is aimed at students, developers, researchers, professionals and community members. Each team must have exactly four members, who register individually under the same team name.
