An evening hosted by Automattic Events in New York, built around a fireside chat between Dennis Crowley, co-founder and CEO of Hopscotch Labs, and Jeff Smith, head of product for AI at Automattic. Crowley, who co-founded Dodgeball and Foursquare, now builds BeeBot, an app that uses AI to describe what is around a person walking through a city. The conversation covers the product and technical decisions behind BeeBot, where AI works in physical spaces and where it falls short, and what has changed since Foursquare. Doors open at 5:30pm ET, the chat starts at 6:00pm, and drinks and light bites follow from 7:00 to 8:30pm. It is aimed at technologists, researchers, builders and creators.
