An overnight hardware hackathon at Cornell Tech, run by localhost:nyc with AR glasses maker MicroLumin, which supplies M6 waveguide display glasses and an SDK to teams. Participants form teams of up to four, or match at kickoff, and build apps around heads-up assistants, live captioning and translation, wayfinding, accessibility and hands-free workflows. MicroLumin founder Dr. Zhaoen Dai gives workshops on designing for AR and a talk on where the AI industry is heading. Teams demonstrate on worn devices in front of judges; approval is required.
