A talk evening in Milan that traces the history of artificial intelligence: from Rosenblatt's Perceptron and the early debates in the field, through its boom-and-bust cycles including the so-called AI winters, to the renewed interest that followed greater data availability and more effective methods, and on to landmarks such as ImageNet. Francesca Carta, a PhD candidate in philosophy and AI who has spent six years working on an internal developer platform for cloud-native developers, gives the talk. The programme opens with networking, followed by the talk and a Q&A, then pizza, beer and drinks. Seats are limited and early RSVP is requested.
