Hosted by Bitcoin Park Austin, Sovereign AI Club's meetup uses a Socratic format. A host brings recent news and research on local AI and open models; the group examines sources, compares experiences and considers differing views on releases, security and where AI is heading. The evening includes guided news discussion and time for member projects and questions. Topics include local LLMs, open-source tools, downloadable model weights, self-hosted AI and privacy. Builders, researchers and curious people can share something they tried, ask questions or just listen; no presentation is required.
