Participants choose a scored benchmark task—such as charger plugging, pouring, recycling sort, egg transfer or Jenga pull—or propose their own project. Viam provides arms, grippers, cameras, Linux machines and objects; teams bring laptops. Experts support teams throughout. No robotics background is required, though coding and Linux skills help. Three teams win robot arms and Viam credits.
