The 13th edition of AI Native Netherlands, hosted at AWS's Amsterdam office, with two talks on choosing compute for AI workloads. Christian Melendez of AWS presents a pipeline where classification, routing, embedding and reranking run on fine-tuned small models on CPU, including a CPU-first agent on Amazon EKS that calls an LLM only when needed, plus how price/performance was measured and which design assumptions failed. William Rizzo of Mirantis gives a second talk whose topic is still to be confirmed. Food, drinks and open networking follow. The evening is aimed at data scientists, AI/ML and data engineers, MLOps specialists, SREs, platform and infrastructure engineers, architects and engineering leaders concerned with running applied AI efficiently.
