Machine Learning Singapore's monthly meetup features two talks. Martin Andrews discusses looped transformers — architectures that repeat layers or pass interim latent states — and how those ideas are reappearing in frontier models. Dr Tobe Freeman presents a real-time inference framework for small multimodal language models, arguing they can act as precise world models with the right harness. Talks run 7:10pm to 9:00pm, followed by chats with the speakers. The group also welcomes lightning talks on work with Keras, PyTorch, JAX or deep learning, open to beginners and experts.
