The LLM Paper Reading Group meets weekly in downtown Vancouver for discussion of influential work on the foundations of large language models. Each session centres on one paper that participants are asked to read beforehand; not understanding everything is explicitly fine, since the meeting is mainly for discussion. This week's paper is Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback and Direct Policy Optimization, presented and discussed from 6:30 to 7:30 PM after introductions. The group keeps a public list of past readings and a Discord.
