Microsoft Reactor Toronto runs an online livestream for developers new to the GitHub Copilot SDK for Java. The session walks through building agentic applications without writing the agent loop: clients, sessions, prompts and the agent runtime, multi-turn conversations, streamed responses, exposing application functions as tools, connecting external capabilities through MCP servers, and controlling behaviour with hooks and permission handlers. It also covers when to embed the SDK in an application rather than use the Copilot CLI for terminal work. No prior SDK experience is needed.
