Rural Valley runs a two-day online hackathon, six hours each day, connecting participants from 20 countries. Teams are assembled by artificial intelligence rather than chosen by entrants, and each group designs a viable business model around San Xoán de Río, a 500-person village in Galicia and Spain's first European-certified Startup Village. Mentors drawn from investors and experts advise the teams, with surprise milestones along the way. The strongest groups get fast-track access to Rural Valley's first cohort.
