Bengaluru Data Engineering Group hosts an in-person hackathon at the OLake office in HSR Layout. Participants have twelve hours to build a chat assistant that answers questions about OLake, an open-source platform that copies data from databases and streams into Apache Iceberg or Parquet, and maintains those tables. Answers must name their sources and say when the documentation does not cover something. Submissions are a public endpoint, an embeddable chat UI and a repository with a README; entry is individual, open to working professionals, and LLM API credits are provided.
