PyData Ireland hosts this Open Source Science Dublin evening with IBM Research on generative computing: writing programs that call models the way they call functions. Three talks cover Mellea, an open-source Python library for predictable generative programs and its abstractions for instructions, requirements, sampling and verifiers; FactReasoner, a probabilistic factuality assessor ported onto Mellea; and the Mellea Skills Compiler, which turns plain-language skill specifications into governed pipelines. The evening includes technical deep dives, cross-disciplinary conversation and pizza.
