A free two-hour hands-on workshop in Honolulu for staff and leaders at Hawaiʻi nonprofits, who build a working AI agent during the session rather than watching demos. The main build is a grant and funding research agent that scans funding sources, matches them to an organization's mission and summarizes relevant opportunities; a program data reporter may follow if time allows. No coding or prior AI experience is assumed, with roughly one tech volunteer for every ten attendees. Participants must install the Claude desktop app and sign up for a paid plan beforehand, and bring a short description of their mission and a list of places they currently look for funding. Hosts include founders, engineers and a nonprofit CFO; HTDC's Entrepreneur Sandbox provides the venue.
