DNAForge and MTC Berkeley run a two-day, in-person hackathon for about 100 participants, bringing biologists, AI engineers and software builders together to work on biology problems with AI. Teams choose challenges in therapeutics, biosecurity or agricultural resilience, including Raycaster's AI research tools built from lightly redacted investigational new drug filings and Biobase's clinical-trial patient matching challenge. Participants receive feedback from scientists, engineers and founders and compete for cash prizes. Admission is by individual application; organizers help admitted participants form teams.
