The Swiss AI Initiative hosts a hands-on morning on running and deploying Apertus, its fully open, self-hostable large language model built in Switzerland. It is aimed at NGO and non-profit staff and researchers bringing AI into their work carefully. Engineers and scientists on the project give an introduction, a live deployment walkthrough and exercises. The session is also a two-way conversation: organizers want to hear which languages, legal contexts and use cases non-profits work in and where tools fall short, to shape the Apertus roadmap. Doors open at 9:00.
