WiSE NYC runs a one-hour hands-on workshop that follows a single change from an AI coding assistant in VS Code through Git and GitHub. Starting from a small HTML, CSS and JavaScript event site, participants use an AI assistant to add a filtering feature, then review and test the generated code, create a branch, commit, push, open a pull request and merge it. A closing discussion covers testing, security, code review and what still needs a human. Setup instructions are sent beforehand; no prior Git or GitHub experience is assumed.
