Phil Wang, who publishes as "lucidrains," is a Taiwanese-American developer based in San Francisco. His own site says he grew up around Boston, holds an engineering degree from Cornell University and a medical degree from the University of Michigan, and worked as a professional software engineer for more than a decade before moving to machine learning.
