Mati Staniszewski: ElevenLabs co-founder and CEO

Mati Staniszewski co-founded ElevenLabs in 2022 and is its CEO. The AI voice company raised $500M at an $11bn valuation in February 2026.

Mateusz "Mati" Staniszewski is a Polish entrepreneur, born in 1995 outside Warsaw, who co-founded ElevenLabs and runs it as chief executive from London. He read mathematics at Imperial College London, and before ElevenLabs worked at Palantir as a deployment strategist, embedding with enterprises and governments. In 2022 he founded ElevenLabs with Piotr Dąbkowski, whom he met at fifteen at their Warsaw high school, building deep-learning speech synthesis now used for audiobooks, dubbing, voice agents and customer support. The company is based in London with offices in New York, Warsaw and San Francisco, and is backed by Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz and ICONIQ. ElevenLabs closed 2025 with more than $330 million in annual recurring revenue and raised a $500 million Series D at an $11 billion valuation on 4 February 2026; the company said on 5 May 2026 that annual recurring revenue had passed $500 million. He and Dąbkowski were named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe technology list in 2024, and he joined the board of the Swedish fintech Klarna in May 2025.
