Logan Kilpatrick is product lead for Google AI Studio and the Gemini API at Google DeepMind - the title Google's own blog prints on his author page - leading the team that gets developers building on Gemini, Veo and Imagen. He started at De Anza College and, by his own account, graduated from Harvard and Oxford. Early in his career he wrote lunar-rover software at NASA and trained machine-learning models at Apple. He led developer relations at OpenAI from 2022 through early 2024, then moved to Google. He invests as well, putting $100,000 to $300,000 into developer tools and AI applications; he says he has backed more than fifty startups, among them Cursor, Cognition, Astral, Braintrust, Stainless API, Exa AI and Tldraw. He co-hosts the Around the Prompt podcast with Nolan Fortman, and posts about the Gemini API on X as OfficialLoganK. He gives his location as Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area.
