Jordan Harrod is an AI researcher, educator and consultant. She finished a PhD in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics in the Harvard-MIT Program in Health Sciences and Technology, defending "Impact of Sleep-Related Factors in Alzheimer's Disease" on 28 April 2026 with Emery Brown and Ed Boyden as advisors, and holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University. She raised roughly $600,000 in competitive fellowship and grant funding along the way, including an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. She has run her YouTube channel since 2018; it now has about 89,500 subscribers and more than 350 videos on artificial intelligence, AI ethics and medical technology, written for people outside the rooms where AI decisions get made. She also writes a Substack, is a part-owner of the creator-run streaming platform Nebula, and advises YouTube/Google, the Gates Foundation and Boston-area businesses through her practice, Harrod & Co.
