Aleksa Gordić, ex-Google DeepMind and Microsoft engineer, runs The AI Epiphany and writes deep technical posts on GPUs, vLLM and transformers.

Aleksa Gordić is a machine learning engineer who runs The AI Epiphany, a YouTube channel of about 64,900 subscribers where he walks through AI research papers and his own builds. He was a research engineer at Google DeepMind from 2021 to 2023, where his own account puts him on inference work for Flamingo, the visual language model, and before that a software and ML engineer at Microsoft from 2018 to 2021, on HoloLens 2. He studied electronics and computer science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. After DeepMind he founded Runa AI, which released open models for South Slavic languages, among them YugoGPT and a 7B SlovenianGPT, both published on Hugging Face. He then co-founded P-1 AI with Paul Eremenko, a startup building engineering AI that came out of stealth in 2025 with a $23 million seed round, and has since left it. He lives in San Francisco and writes long technical posts on GPU and TPU clusters, vLLM internals and transformer anatomy. He speaks Serbian, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
