voize was founded in 2020 by twin brothers Fabio and Marcel Schmidberger and Erik Ziegler. The idea followed the brothers’ experience when their grandfather entered a nursing home and they saw how much time caregivers spent on documentation instead of care. The company builds a voice-powered AI companion for nurses and caregivers. Its software converts spoken observations into structured documentation, synchronizes with electronic health-record systems, supports clinical terminology and dialects, and operates offline. In March 2025, voize raised a $9 million seed round led by HV Capital. On November 17, 2025, it announced a $50 million Series A led by Balderton Capital, with participation from existing investors including HV Capital, Redalpine and Y Combinator. voize is a healthcare software company focused on nursing and long-term care. Its platform is used by care facilities in Europe and the United States, and the company’s U.S. site reports 139 team members.
