Together AI (operating as Together Computer, Inc.) was founded in 2022 by Vipul Ved Prakash, Chris Ré, Percy Liang, Ce Zhang, and Tri Dao. Vipul Ved Prakash serves as CEO and previously founded Cloudmark and Topsy (acquired by Apple in 2013); Percy Liang and Chris Ré are Stanford professors, Ce Zhang is a professor formerly at ETH Zurich, and Tri Dao serves as Chief Scientist.
