Tines
No-code workflow automation and AI agent platform built for security teams to orchestrate detection, response and repetitive operational work.

Tines was founded in Dublin in 2018 by Eoin Hinchy and Thomas Kinsella, both former security engineers who had felt the pain of manual, repetitive security operations work firsthand at companies including DocuSign and eBay. It began as a SOAR-style automation tool purpose-built for security teams, letting analysts wire together alerts, enrichment lookups and response actions on a visual canvas without writing custom scripts or waiting on an engineering backlog. The platform has since expanded beyond security into IT, engineering and business operations teams, while keeping its original constituency at the center: a no-code Storyboard builder with drag-and-drop actions, webhooks and integrations, offered as a free Community Edition alongside paid Enterprise tiers. In June 2025 Tines introduced native AI agents that can take autonomous next steps within a workflow, and in early 2026 it launched Story Copilot, which builds workflows from a natural-language description, alongside a new self-serve Starter Edition. Tines reached unicorn status in 2025 with a $125 million Series C led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives, at a valuation of roughly $1.125 billion, bringing total funding to over $270 million from investors including SoftBank, Accel, Felicis and the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund. The company is co-headquartered in Dublin and Boston, with customers including Coinbase, Databricks, SAP and Canva.
