Tailor Brands was founded in 2014 in New York by Yali Saar, Nadav Shatz, and Tom Lahat, launching publicly at TechCrunch Disrupt's Startup Battlefield with a pitch to replace expensive agency design work with an algorithmic 'robot designer.' The original product generated logo concepts from a short questionnaire about the business, its industry, and style preferences, and the company says its engine has produced tens of millions of logos since. Tailor Brands raised a Series B in 2018 and a $50 million Series C in 2021 led by GoDaddy. The company has since broadened well past logo design into a general small-business toolkit, adding a website builder, digital business cards, social post templates, and — reflecting a further pivot as generative AI commoditized basic logo design — LLC formation, business banking, and compliance filing services. By 2025 the company has said logo-related sales make up a minority of its revenue, with the rest coming from these adjacent business-formation services. Tailor Brands is headquartered in New York with an office in Tel Aviv and employs several hundred people.
