Silverfort

Identity security platform enforcing MFA, identity threat detection and posture management across Active Directory, legacy systems and cloud identities.

Silverfort

Silverfort was founded in 2016 by Hed Kovetz, Yaron Kassner and Matan Fattal, who set out to solve a problem most identity vendors couldn't: enforcing modern authentication on the legacy systems, command-line tools, file shares and service accounts that make up most of a typical enterprise's identity footprint but were never built to support agents or standard identity provider integrations. Its agentless, proxyless architecture plugs into Active Directory, Entra ID, RADIUS, Okta and other identity providers, extending multi-factor authentication and continuous risk analysis to resources that previously had no practical way to get it. The platform combines Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM), adaptive MFA and, more recently, Non-Human Identity (NHI) security, monitoring service accounts and machine credentials that traditional IAM tools largely ignore. Silverfort markets itself as covering the identity attack surface end to end, from a domain controller running decades-old protocols to a modern cloud workload's service account. Silverfort has raised over $220 million, including a $65 million Series C in 2022 and a $116 million Series D in January 2024 led by Brighton Park Capital that valued the company above $1 billion. The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv with a significant presence in Boston, and was named to Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies list in the security category in 2025.
