SentinelOne
Publicly traded, AI-driven security platform covering endpoint, cloud, identity and data across autonomous detection and response.

SentinelOne was founded in 2013 in Mountain View, California, by Tomer Weingarten, Almog Cohen and Ehud Shamir, who built the company around machine-learning-based endpoint detection at a time when most antivirus vendors still relied primarily on signature matching. The company went public on the NYSE in June 2021 under the ticker S, and has since expanded its Singularity platform from endpoint protection into cloud workload security, identity security, security data management and a cloud-delivered SIEM. SentinelOne markets autonomous response as its core differentiator: its agents can independently roll back a ransomware attack's file changes on an endpoint without waiting for a human analyst or a query to a cloud console, which matters when a connection to the internet is what an attacker cuts first. In 2024 the company introduced Purple AI, a generative AI assistant that lets analysts investigate threats using natural-language questions instead of writing detection query syntax, later extending it toward more autonomous alert triage in its higher enterprise tiers. For fiscal year 2025 (ended January 31, 2025), SentinelOne reported revenue of $821.5 million and served more than 11,500 customers, competing most directly with CrowdStrike and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint in the endpoint detection and response market.
