Rocket.new grew out of DhiWise, a developer tool founded in April 2021 in Surat, Gujarat, India by Vishal Virani, Rahul Shingala, and Ameya Sahasrabudhe that converted Figma designs into production Flutter/React code. In 2025 the team pivoted to an AI-first, prompt-to-app product and rebranded as Rocket (Rocket.new), with Vishal Virani as Co-Founder & CEO, Rahul Shingala as Co-Founder & CTO, and Deepak Dhanak as Co-Founder & COO. Rocket.new generates complete applications — frontend, backend, databases, authentication, APIs, and deployment — from a single natural-language prompt. By late 2025 it reported over 400,000 users across 180 countries, more than 10,000 paid subscribers, roughly $4.5M in annual recurring revenue, and over 500,000 apps built. In September 2025 the company raised a $15M seed round led by Salesforce Ventures with participation from Accel and Together Fund, and announced plans to open a North American headquarters in Palo Alto, California while continuing to grow its engineering team in Surat, India.
