Ukrainian voice-cloning studio behind Star Wars and other film dubs, offering ethical speech-to-speech voice conversion for Hollywood and games.

Respeecher was founded in Kyiv in February 2018 by Alex Serdiuk, Dmytro Bielievtsov, and Grant Reaber to build speech-to-speech voice conversion around an explicit consent-based licensing model, requiring a legal agreement with whoever owns the voice being cloned. That positioning helped it land high-profile film and TV work rather than consumer apps. Its technology recreated a young Mark Hamill's voice for Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, restored James Earl Jones's Darth Vader performance in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and has been used across dozens of other dubbing, archival restoration, and video game localization projects, with productions using its work earning more than 20 Academy Award nominations by 2025. Beyond one-off film work, the company sells a Voice Marketplace of licensed voices, a real-time API called Respeecher Space for building voice agents, and a Pro Tools plugin for studio integration. The company has kept operating and taking on major studio projects through the Russian invasion of Ukraine, running on backup power and satellite internet when needed, and has raised roughly $4 million to date, including a pre-Series A round with participation from Gary Vaynerchuk.
