Renderforest was founded in Yerevan, Armenia in 2013 by Narek Safaryan, initially as a template-based video and animation maker for small businesses that couldn't afford a motion graphics studio. The company has stayed bootstrapped and grown to a team of roughly 90 people serving a claimed 30 million-plus registered users. Over time Renderforest expanded well beyond video into an all-in-one branding bundle: a logo maker, a mockup generator for putting a logo or design onto products and screens, a website builder, and intro/outro video templates, all sold under one subscription rather than as separate products. Its AI logo generator layers machine-assisted color and typography suggestions on top of a large library of design templates, and the mockup tool automatically adjusts lighting and perspective so a flat logo file looks placed onto a t-shirt, phone screen, or storefront sign.
