Reka

Reka is an AI research lab building foundational intelligence for the physical world through multimodal models and infrastructure.

Reka was founded in 2022 by researchers from Google and Meta. It emerged from stealth in June 2023 with $60 million in funding. Reka develops multimodal models that process text, images, video and audio, including the Reka Core, Flash and Edge model families. Its products have included Reka Vision for video and image understanding and Reka Research for web and document research, with deployment across cloud, on-premises and edge environments. In July 2025, Reka announced a $110 million investment backed by NVIDIA and Snowflake. In June 2026, Reka joined forces with Moonvalley, bringing additional researchers and engineers into Reka to advance models and infrastructure for physical AI. Reka currently describes itself as an AI research lab building foundational intelligence for the physical world, with work spanning multimodal foundation models, inference infrastructure, video-processing infrastructure and training data for robotics and world-model applications.
