Qodo, originally launched as CodiumAI, was founded in 2022 by Itamar Friedman, formerly Director of Alibaba Group's Israeli AI Lab, and Dedy Kredo, who previously led product and data science teams at Exploriem and VMware. The company builds AI-powered tools for code review, test generation, and code quality/integrity checks aimed at helping development teams verify AI-generated and human-written code alike; it rebranded from CodiumAI to Qodo in 2024. Qodo raised $11M in seed funding in 2023, a $40M Series A in 2024 led by Susa Ventures and Square Peg, and a $70M Series B in March 2026 led by Qumra Capital, bringing total funding to roughly $120M. Investors across rounds include TLV Partners, Vine Ventures, Firestreak Ventures, and individual backers from OpenAI and Meta. Qodo is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, with a team that has grown to more than 100 employees across Israel, the U.S., and Europe.
