Prisma Labs is a photo and video editing software company founded in 2016 by Alexey Moiseenkov, Andrey Usoltsev and team, and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. Its first product, the Prisma app, used neural networks to restyle photos into artworks in various painterly styles and became a viral hit shortly after launch. In 2018 the company launched Lensa, an AI-powered photo and video editing app. In late 2022 Lensa's 'Magic Avatars' feature went viral, using generative AI and users' uploaded selfies to produce stylized portraits, driving major download and revenue spikes. Prisma Labs continues to develop consumer AI imaging apps and is largely bootstrapped/profitable per public reporting.
