The company raised a $100M Series B in April 2023 led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from ICONIQ Growth, Menlo Ventures, and Wing Venture Capital, at a $750M valuation, bringing total funding to roughly $138M. In 2025, Pinecone appointed Ash Ashutosh as CEO, with founder Edo Liberty moving to Chief Scientist to focus on the company's growing AI research ambitions. Pinecone is headquartered in New York City, serving more than 5,000 customers, with a team of around 130 employees as of 2025-2026.
