Phaidra was founded in Seattle in 2019 by Jim Gao, Veda Panneershelvam and Katie Hoffman. The company builds AI agents and intelligent control systems for AI factories and complex industrial facilities. Its products include Phaidra Prism, an LLM-first AI assistant for data-center operations, and specialized agents for liquid cooling, power and workload-management systems. Phaidra announced a $25 million Series A in July 2022 and a Series B funding round of more than $50 million in October 2025. The company focuses on enabling AI factories to operate as coordinated systems of compute at gigawatt scale.
