Persado

Enterprise AI platform that generates and compliance-checks marketing language for regulated industries like banking and insurance.

Persado

Persado was founded in 2012 in New York by Alex Vratskides and Assaf Baciu on the idea that marketing language could be tested and optimized the way a scientist tests a hypothesis, rather than judged by committee. The company built a large proprietary dataset mapping words, phrases, and emotional tones to actual campaign performance, then used it to score and generate marketing copy for banks, card issuers, insurers, and retailers who need every line of copy to also survive a compliance review. Today the platform is organized around three products: Create, which turns a marketing brief into channel-ready assets while checking against rules like TILA, Reg Z, and TCPA; Optimize, which rescoring and improves already-approved copy without triggering a new legal review; and an automation layer for personalization at scale. Persado says its models are trained on more than a million A/B tests and work with eight of the ten largest U.S. banks. The company has raised roughly $66 million from investors including Goldman Sachs, Bain Capital Ventures, and SVB, and operates out of Manhattan with a second office in Athens. Alex Vratskides and Moray Maclennan currently share the CEO role.
