Perceptyx

Employee listening platform that runs engagement, lifecycle, and pulse surveys and layers AI agents on top of the results.

Perceptyx

Perceptyx was founded in 2003 in Southern California by John Borland, Jack Morehouse, Dave Belcher, and Greg La Bonte, initially building custom employee survey programs before growing into a broader listening platform used by large enterprises. The company is headquartered in Temecula, California. Its platform combines multiple listening channels — annual engagement surveys, lifecycle surveys tied to onboarding or exit, 360 feedback, and always-on pulse and crowdsourced feedback — into a single signal engine rather than treating each survey as a separate one-off project. In 2025 the company introduced an AI Agent Suite, including a Narrative Analysis Agent that reads open-text comments to surface themes and an Employee Activation Agent that turns survey results into manager-specific action plans. Perceptyx has raised roughly $80 million from investors including Delta-v Capital and ParkerGale Capital and reports that around one-third of the Fortune 100 use its platform. Ross Wainwright, formerly CEO of Alida, became Perceptyx's CEO in 2025, succeeding co-founder John Borland, who moved to the board.
