Paradox is an HR technology company best known for Olivia, a conversational AI recruiting assistant that handles the repetitive, high-volume parts of hiring: answering candidate FAQs, screening applicants against basic requirements, and booking interviews without a recruiter touching a calendar. Founder and CEO Aaron Matos, who spent years as an HR practitioner before starting the company, launched Paradox in 2016 and named Olivia after his wife. The platform is built for employers hiring at volume - retail, healthcare, warehousing, and hospitality chains where thousands of hourly applicants move through the funnel every month and speed matters more than nuanced evaluation.
