Nucleus Security
Vulnerability and exposure management platform that aggregates scanner data from across the stack and prioritizes fixes by real business risk.

Nucleus Security was founded in Sarasota, Florida by Stephen Carter, Scott Kuffer, and Nicolas Fleming, with roots in vulnerability management work for the U.S. Department of Defense; the company describes itself as launching in 2019, though several business databases date its founding to 2018. It built its platform around a problem most vulnerability scanners don't solve on their own: an enterprise running Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, and half a dozen other scanners ends up with duplicate, unprioritized findings scattered across tools nobody has time to reconcile manually. The company raised a $20 million Series C in February 2026 led by Delta-v Capital, bringing total funding to roughly $86 million, and counts Motorola, Paychex, and defense and civilian government agencies among its customers. Nucleus positions itself as the largest vendor focused exclusively on vulnerability and exposure management rather than treating it as one module inside a broader security suite.
