monday.com
Israeli Work OS company (NASDAQ: MNDY) turning its board-based project platform into an AI-agent workforce with monday AI and Agent Factory.

monday.com began in 2012 as Dapulse, a spin-off from Wix where co-founders Roy Mann and Eran Zinman had grown frustrated with existing project tools, and rebranded to monday.com in 2017 once the Dapulse name started becoming a liability in enterprise sales conversations. The product's signature colorful, board-based interface for tracking work became the foundation for a broader Work OS spanning project management, CRM, and service operations. The company went public on Nasdaq in June 2021 under the ticker MNDY, raising roughly $736 million including a concurrent private placement, and has continued rapid growth since, reporting more than 245,000 customers and around 2,500 employees as of 2025. Mann and Zinman remain co-CEOs. monday.com has moved aggressively into AI over the past two years, first with AI Blocks that let users drop AI actions into automations without code, then with monday AI Assistant and monday sidekick for in-context help, and most recently with an 'AI Agent Factory' pitched as a 'digital workforce' of autonomous agents that can complete tasks independently. Usage is billed through an AI credit system layered on top of standard seat pricing rather than folded into it.
