Makes Lovable, an AI platform that lets users build web apps and software products from natural-language prompts ("vibe coding"), formerly GPT Engineer.

Lovable is a Stockholm-based company founded by Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin. Osika created GPT Engineer, an open-source tool for generating software from natural-language prompts, in 2023; he and Hedin then built a commercial version, GPT Engineer App, which was renamed Lovable in December 2024 ahead of a wider public launch. Lovable's product lets users describe an application in plain language and have the AI generate, run, and iterate on a working web app, popularizing the term "vibe coding." The company reported reaching $200 million in annual recurring revenue within roughly a year of its relaunch, one of the fastest revenue ramps recorded by a European startup. Lovable raised a $200 million Series A in July 2025 led by Accel at a $1.8 billion valuation, following an earlier $15 million round in February 2025. In December 2025 it raised a $330 million Series B led by CapitalG and Menlo Ventures, with participation from Khosla Ventures, Accel, and EQT, at a $6.6 billion valuation, bringing total funding to roughly $550 million.
