Israeli AI content-creation company behind LTX Studio and the open LTX-2 video model, plus consumer apps like Facetune and Videoleap.

Lightricks was founded in 2013 in Jerusalem by five Hebrew University graduates, including CEO Zeev Farbman and President Yaron Inger. The company built its early business on mobile photo and video editing apps such as Facetune, Photoleap, and Videoleap, which together have been downloaded hundreds of millions of times and made Lightricks one of the most recognizable names in consumer creative software before generative AI became mainstream. Since 2023 Lightricks has repositioned around generative video, launching LTX Studio, a browser-based platform that turns scripts and storyboards into shot-by-shot AI video, and LTX-2, a proprietary video-and-audio generation model. In January 2026 the company open-sourced LTX-2 with its weights and training code, positioning it as one of the first production-grade open models capable of synchronized 4K video and audio. Lightricks has raised more than $335 million, including a $130 million Series D in 2021 that valued the company at $1.8 billion, from investors including Insight Partners, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and Greycroft.
