Kunlun Tech

Shenzhen-listed Beijing tech conglomerate whose Skywork and Tiangong AI products have become a fast-growing overseas revenue line.

Kunlun Tech, also known as Kunlun Wanwei, was founded in Beijing in 2008 by Zhou Yahui and built its original business distributing web and mobile games internationally, listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2015. Over the past several years it has pivoted a large share of its business toward AI, developing the Skywork large language model series, later rebranded for consumers under the Tiangong name, along with AI music, AI short-drama, and AI social products sold mostly to markets outside China. By mid-2026 the company reported its AI-native product business had crossed $800 million in annualized recurring revenue, split between a fast-growing AI short-drama platform and its AI tool lineup, positioning Kunlun as a candidate to become the first Chinese AI company outside the Baidu-Alibaba-Tencent tier to reach $1 billion in ARR. First-quarter 2026 revenue rose nearly 46% year over year to roughly 2.57 billion yuan, with about 92% of that coming from overseas markets rather than China. Its flagship agent product, Tiangong Super Agents, has claimed the top score globally on the GAIA benchmark for AI agent research tasks, ahead of OpenAI's Deep Research and Manus.
