Open-source platform that records real API traffic and auto-generates integration and unit tests from it, with an AI layer for coverage and mocks.

Keploy, legally Hybridk8s Private Limited, was founded in Bengaluru, India in 2021 by Neha Gupta and Shubham Jain. The founders built it around eBPF-based traffic capture: instead of writing API tests by hand, Keploy records real requests, database calls and downstream dependency responses from a running application, then replays them as deterministic tests and mocks in CI, without requiring code changes to the application itself. The core platform is open source under Apache 2.0 and has built a sizeable community, with more than 20,000 GitHub stars, backing from Google for Startups, and support from investors including Chiratae Ventures and British International Investment. Keploy layers AI on top of the recorded traffic to auto-generate additional test cases and mocks and to report schema coverage, and offers a paid Pro tier and enterprise plans alongside the free, self-hosted core.
