Jasper is an AI-powered content generation platform built for marketing teams, providing brand-controlled copywriting, campaign, and workflow tools for enterprises. It was founded on January 15, 2021 by Dave Rogenmoser, Chris Hull, and John Philip Morgan, previously co-founders of the Y Combinator startup Proof. The company was originally named Conversion.ai, rebranded to Jarvis.ai in 2021, then renamed Jasper in early 2022 after a legal dispute with Marvel/Disney over the Jarvis name. Jasper raised $125 million in a Series A round in October 2022 at a $1.5 billion valuation, led by Insight Partners with participation from Coatue, Bessemer Venture Partners, and HubSpot Ventures. In September 2023, Timothy Young, formerly President of Dropbox, joined as CEO, with founder Dave Rogenmoser moving to Chairman of the Board. As of 2025-2026 Jasper reports serving over 100,000 customers, including 900+ enterprise clients, with roughly 1,000 employees across a distributed workforce.
