Impel
AI operating system for auto dealerships and OEMs that automates lead follow-up, service reminders and vehicle merchandising across the customer lifecycle.

Impel began in 2011 as SpinCar, a 360-degree vehicle merchandising tool for dealership websites, and later rebranded to Impel as it expanded into a broader automotive AI platform covering sales, service and marketing. The company is headquartered in Syracuse, New York, with a newer office in Burlington, Vermont, and has grown to roughly 557 employees under co-founder and CEO Devin Daly. Impel raised a $104 million growth investment in January 2023 led by Silversmith Capital Partners, with Wavecrest Growth Partners also participating, bringing its total funding to around $126 million across three rounds. The company says its platform is now used by more than 8,000 dealers and OEMs across 51 countries, generating what it describes as 15 billion shopper interactions that have influenced over $4 billion in sales and service revenue, spanning products for lead response, service scheduling, and the original SpinCar merchandising tools.
