Higgsfield AI was founded in October 2023 by Alex Mashrabov, former Head of Generative AI at Snap and founder of AI Factory (acquired by Snap in 2020 for $166M), together with co-founder Yerzat Dulat. The company is based in San Francisco. Higgsfield publicly launched its video-generation tools on March 31, 2025, and grew rapidly, surpassing 15 million users. Its products position AI video generation as marketing and creative infrastructure for brands and creators. In January 2026 the company raised a $130M Series A with investors including Accel, AI Capital Partners, and Menlo Ventures at a $1.3B valuation, and was reported to have reached roughly $200M revenue run-rate. In February 2026 its official X/Twitter account was suspended amid controversy over marketing practices.
