Hebbia is an American AI company founded in August 2020 by George Sivulka, a former Stanford University PhD student, and is headquartered in New York City. The company builds institutional-grade AI software for financial, legal, and consulting professionals, with its flagship platform, Matrix, allowing users to query millions of documents (filings, spreadsheets, presentations, contracts) in plain language and receive cited, auditable answers. Hebbia's customers include investment banks, asset managers, law firms, and Fortune 500 companies, and the platform integrates with financial data providers such as FactSet, Bloomberg, and S&P Capital IQ. Hebbia has raised over $160 million in total funding, including a $30 million Series A in 2022 led by Index Ventures and a $130 million Series B in 2024 led by Andreessen Horowitz at roughly a $700 million valuation, with participation from Index Ventures, Google Ventures (GV), and investor Peter Thiel. In 2025, Hebbia acquired FlashDocs, a generative-AI slide deck startup, and OpenAI's models were integrated into the Matrix platform. As of 2026, Hebbia reportedly has around 147-158 employees.
