Denver interior design platform pairing human designers with an in-house AI, trained on real designer renders, to sketch shoppable concepts.

Havenly was founded in Denver, Colorado in 2014 by sisters Lee Mayer and Emily Motayed, building an online interior-design service that paired customers with professional designers for a flat fee per room rather than an hourly consulting rate. The company has raised over $50 million across multiple rounds, including a $32 million Series C led by Lerer Hippeau, and expanded into furniture through acquisitions of Burrow and The Citizenry in 2024. In 2025 Havenly launched Havenly AI, a chat-based design assistant trained on the company's own archive of more than two million real designer-produced renderings rather than a general-purpose image model. The tool generates shoppable room concepts from a photo of a customer's space and is offered free, functioning as an entry point into Havenly's paid human-designer packages.
